Rome With a View

Campari and dry vermouth over lime and soda – a spritz that acts like a cocktail. Porch weather in a glass, and nobody has to know how easy it was.

What you need
Campari1 oz
Dry vermouth1 oz
Fresh lime juice1 oz
Simple syrup
1:1, sugar to water¾ oz
Soda waterto top
Orange wheelgarnish
How it goes
1Campari, dry vermouth, lime and simple syrup into the shaker – everything but the soda.
2Add ice and shake until it’s cold – then strain over fresh ice into a highball glass.
3Top with soda. Give it one gentle stir – one.
4Orange wheel on top. Take it outside; it drinks better out there.
